I have extensive backgrounds in both healthcare and marketing.
Health Care
My healthcare career started in 1995 when I graduated form the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. As a registered pharmacist I have practiced in Home Infusion Therapy, Hospital Pharmacy and Community Pharmacy settings. In my current practice I am a Certified Medication Therapy Management specialist but I have a particular interest in orthomolecular science which basically means I study the use of nutrition, and more specifically using supplements to help support and promote the body's natural healing process. The last 10 years I have studied extensively the role that nutrition and supplementation plays in improving our health and well being.
Now I actively speak out on how the medical system has failed us and we must take responsibility for our own health through proper nutrition and supplementation. In this capacity I have appeared on nationally syndicated radio where I have discussed the dangers of statin drugs and how most people can control their cholesterol by taking a few simple proactive steps.
Marketing
My marketing background includes telecommunications, financial services, social media marketing and network marketing. Fortunately for me I had a teacher back in high school that introduced me to the field of marketing. I was only 16 years old but I was able to take the struggling small appliance, china and gift department of a local upscale department store and post a profit for that department within a year. Needles to say I was hooked on marketing by the time I graduated high school.
Since then I have held various marketing positions starting with a division of AT&T, the A. L. Williams Company, and Prudential Financial Services. I started my own company Abell Financial Services, marketing insurance, annuities, and mutual funds before returning to college to pursue my degree in pharmacy. And my latest venture, Abell International Marketing, Consulting and Leadership Development, utilizing social media and the internet to market products and services. I also help others start and build their own home based businesses.
I have been involved in various network marketing organizations over the years and I take that experience to help others have success in this industry.
Following the advice of Robert Kiyosaki, I have diversified my sources of income. I now continue to educate myself in the pharmaceutical field while pursuing my interest in network marketing through a health and wellness company.
